THE SPIRIT MACHINE

Working under Don Bies as Art Director at  White Room Artifacts, Peter created the title prop for this independent film.

LEGION FANTASTIQUE

Legion Fantastique was a theatrical envrionment that ran (seasonally) for five years (2006-2011) at the Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco, CA. Peter served as Director / Production Designer and led a cast/crew of over 30 people.

Based on the literary works of Jules Verne, "Legion" (as it was affectionately known) covered over 1600 sq feet and was built as a Victorian gentlemen's club where brave personalities like Captain Nemo and Phileas Fogg could "recuit" guests into the club to help probe deeper into the worlds of "Science, Exploration and Imatination!"

Guests could help dig fossils, shake hands with a giant squid, dance with an 8 foot tall steam-powered man, and meet unique characters from Jules Verne's books. This video was filmed during our fifth, and final, year - when Legion boasted crowds of well over 350 people per show (which exceeded our expectations...and our capacity).

THE EMPIRE OF WONDERS - The Lion Tamer

The Empire of Wonders was a "follow-up" after Legion Fantastique. It was an exploration of the amusements of 19th Century London - namely the early sideshow carnivals of the Inudstrial Revolution. The Empire featured replicas of classic sideshow "gaffs" including a Fee Jee Mermaid, a "Devil's Daughter", and a whole host of talented performers presenting their talents in a variety show atmosphere.

This routine was written and designed by Peter, and featured the talents of Bill Burns, Wyatt Burns and Nicole Rudolf - who entertained crowds tirelessly with the crazy circus antics that you can see here.

STEAMPUNK: History Beyond Imagination (clip 1)

This was the fundraising video for our museum exhibit - Steampunk: History Beyond Imagination.

Peter served as Curator and Art Director, and not only designed the exhibit for The Muzeo (in Anaheim, CA), but he also supervised a crew of a dozen creative individuals in the installation of this show.

This video was filmed and put on Kickstarter...and managed to raise enough money for us to open on time!

STEAMPUNK: History Beyond Imagination (clip 2)

Here is a video of the opening day of Steampunk: History Beyond Imagination. This video features much of the amazing crew who put the exhibit together (and without whom, we couldn't have done it).

Thank you Rich, Louise, Erin, Joel, Lisa, Daniel, Jay, Autumn, Erik, Scott, Robert, Krys, Chris, Kitty, Bob and of course Cat.

NOTE:  Peter mentions "The Queen's Gallery" in the video, which was a sister exhibit which premiered the previous day.

THE GIANT SQUID - Museum Video

This video was written and edited by Peter for the "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" portion of Steampunk: History Beyond Imagination.
