About Peter Overstreet

Peter is a California native with over 25 years professional experience under his belt - finding his talents used in illustration, film, games, theater, exhibitions and in education circles. He graduated from San Jose State Univeristy's Illustration Dept., and has developed his combined love of art and imaginative "world-building" throughout his career. His art has been seen in the pages of Variety, on CNN, and has even graced 7-11 Slurpee cups! 

 

When Peter isn't working on whatever media project comes his way, he finds himself tinkering with theatrical design (sets, costumes, etc.), exploring his imagination through creativity, studying art and history, and pusuing his own artistic endeavors. One of his biggest pet projects was a 6-year stint as Director/Production Designer of Legion Fantastique - a theatrical environment based on the literary works of Jules Verne, where  they could be educated and entertained through science, exploration and imagination.

 

Peter is currently an award-winning faculty member at Ex'Pression College in San Jose, CA, where he teaches a wide range of subjects including figure drawing, animation, storyboarding, fine art techniques, digital concept art, art direction in film and game history.
